About us

A welcome that begins at home.

Franco, our father, finds his passion in the countryside, tending the vegetable gardens with the time, patience and care of someone who understands the value of every harvest. Giulia, our mother, brings her skill to the kitchen and her enterprising spirit to each new project.

We are Leo, Rossella and Giovanni. After completing our studies, we chose to devote ourselves fully to the journey our parents began. Through hospitality and our daily work, we bring fresh ideas and the ambition to help the Masseria grow while preserving what makes it authentic.

The five of us, each with our own outlook and the same shared passion, care for this land and everyone who visits. This is our way of welcoming you: helping you feel part of a place that is, above all, our home.

Masseria Monte’s roots reach back to 1882, under the Congregazione di Carità of Fasano’s Opera Pia “Monte Quaresimina”. The year 1998 marks a new phase in an existing family legacy: the Ricupero brothers carry on the work at the Masseria, preserving its heritage and supporting its growth with new ideas and the same dedication to the land.

At first, our relationship with customers grows through the direct sale of table olives. People discover us through word of mouth, without advertising or social media, building trust one encounter at a time: a simple, genuine connection that still shapes our work today.

In 2003, producing and selling table olives becomes the starting point for a broader project: growing a wider variety of crops, processing them and offering them directly to customers. The Masseria’s workshop is established, turning the harvest into preserves and other specialities under our own label. New crops and skills enrich our work in the fields, bringing the flavours of our land from the harvest to the farm shop.

Over the years, we joined Coldiretti and Slow Food, and later became part of the Campagna Amica network. The markets organised by Coldiretti became a weekly appointment: taking our products there helped us reach people beyond the Masseria and gradually grow our customer base.

Today, we cultivate around 20 hectares in the countryside of Fasano, with olive trees, orchards, a vineyard, vegetable gardens and a small citrus grove. Alongside sales at the farm, our online Bottega now offers our preserves and other traditional specialities. For fresh produce, customers still visit us at the Masseria every day, keeping alive the direct connection with which it all began.

We look after every aspect of the Masseria ourselves: our parents and the three of us siblings. We pour our passion, ideas and daily work into caring for every space and everyone who chooses to visit us. We grow together, always looking for ways to make this place more welcoming while keeping the warmth of a genuine connection. Our rooms, activities for groups and schools, and agriturismo, dedicated to private events, are different ways of sharing a little of our home with you.

More than a century of work in the fields, now open to those who wish to experience it up close.

We look forward to welcoming you.
